I’ve been neglectful this week; I’ve had a couple interesting interviews that will make blog history once I’m confident they are no longer actual possibilities, I’ve spent way too much time planning all the meals I’ll take my mom and brother out to when they arrive in ONE WEEK!, we spent Saturday at the driving range at Qingcheng Mountain (who knew?), and yesterday was a hash blur panting our way through stunning landscapes of rapeseed fields (who knew that sunshine-yellow flowers are what you use to make canola oil!?). I tragically left my camera at home, but bummed these photos off Bev who’s always good at capturing the moments. Needless to say, it’s been a busy week – and I’ve got a lot coming up. Because words aren’t coming easily to me at the moment; I defer to possibly the best song on the Cold War Kids new album. It will make your day; like hiking through flowers made mine…
treadmills can be hate-able in many contexts, even in my former bastion of fitness Vida in dc. but they are much, much worse when they’re located in the dim, freezing basement of the waterfront complex, where every machine makes an excruciating moan when in use and chinese parents never got the memo that young children should not use gym equipment as a playground. but it’s all i got. a good song helps, and i’ve played this one over and over the past few days; miraculously, i run. credit to kelly (aka robot) for putting it on my amazing birthday mix.
